Iva Franks-Singer: Creator/Writer/Actress/Executive Producer of Under Surveillance
As a writer Iva was inspired to write this show from the traumatic events which transpired during her eight year stalking nightmare. Under Surveillance is based on her stalking story as well as others. She has written two full length features, three documentaries and two television pilots.
As an actress Iva has been acting professionally for over 28 years. She's appeared in 25 independent feature films. She has several guest star appearances as well, recurring on FOX’s Sci fi series 'Space Above and Beyond' as “Sabrine EW”, recurring as 'Big Tina' on NBC’s 'Las Vegas' along side James Caan. More recently guest starred in the television show 'Blood Relatives' and the award winning Indie Film, 'Paper'.
Iva is very involved with animal rescue and several other charitable organizations. In 2008, Iva was one of the top fundraisers for the City of Hope’s Underwear Affair (finding a cure for all cancers below the waist). Iva works along side several victims’ rights advocates in order to help change legislation to protect victims of violent crimes and restructure the victims’ notification system, not only Calif. but also the entire United States. She is on the board of the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival, Co Founder of Squrrul Gurl Productions and on the board of directors for Jodi's Voice, an anti-stalking advocacy organization.
